If you’re looking for exciting things to do with your love, or a small group of friends or family, few things beat a boat trip. Consider looking into private charters if you have a special event coming up, such as a proposal, wedding, or special birthday party.
A sunset cruise and dine is another fantastic way to pop the question, or simply for a special date night idea. From sunset champagne cruises with scenic helicopter flips followed by dinner to a cruise and overnight stay at a Cape Town hotel, you will be spoilt for choice, and make quite an impression in the process.
There are also several lunch and dinner cruises in Cape Town from which to choose. The Alba is one popular choice, as is the Sunday lunch cruise by the Harties Boat Company on the Hartbeespoort dam. Then of course, you could spend the night on the water in a luxury yacht. That will give you the sensation of cruising when you only have one or two nights to escape from reality.

No visit to Gauteng is complete without an airboat adventure on the Crocodile River. Our exhilarating ride and slide experience kicks off from Mogi Adventures on the banks of the Crocodile River, right off the R 512 (Malibongwe Drive), Broederstroom, Hartbeespoort.  Your guides will provide a pre-departure safety briefing before you board your airboat and set off to explore the beautiful Magaliesberg gorges located in the upper Crocodile river and down into the magnificent Harties. Enjoy feeling the wind in your hair and the sun on your face as the airboat skims the surface of the water and zips down the river. From this unique vantage point, you will see new and unique plants and wildlife while your guide regales you with fun facts about the area. -
Take a six-minute trip to the top of the Magaliesberg mountain in a modern, safe cable car located in the Magaliesberg World Heritage Site and be transported into a different world. A lovely grassy viewing site offers scenic views across some of the world's oldest mountains and valleys. Once you disembark at the foot of the mountain, head to the 'best dam' 2-hour gourmet snack cruise where you will enjoy a scrumptious selection of traditional South African hot and cold finger and fork gourmet snacks. The boat will travel along the Kosmos foreshore, toward the dam wall and past the zoo and Transvaal Yacht club. From there, it will hit the open waters to Oberon and Eagle's Landing, past Pecanwood and the Dykes of the Islands Estate, followed by Kshane Estate and Sandy Lane Golf Course. This route was planned especially to give you an opportunity to enjoy all the sights of life around the dam, including the beautiful homes and natural scenery whilst enjoying delicious gourmet snacks.- Taking place daily.

An airboat, also known as a fan-boat, is a flat-bottomed vessel propelled in a forward direction by an aircraft-type propeller and powered by either an aircraft or automotive engine.Airboats are a very popular means of transportation in the Florida Everglades, parts of the Indian River Lagoon, the Kissimmee and St. Johns Rivers, as well as Louisiana Bayous, where they are used for fishing, hunting, and eco-tourism and in other marshy and/or shallow areas where a standard inboard or outboard engine with a submerged propeller would be impractical. Hartbeespoort Dam, with about 56 km shoreline and surrounded by the majesty of the Magaliesberg mountain range, is a popular week-end getaway for both Pretoria and Johannesburg.
