Launching from the Nest hotel in the Central Berg, you’ll need to be up super early for this adventure. Be welcomed in the early hours of the morning at your launching site with a fresh cup of warm coffee as you watch the crew prepare the balloon for your flight. You wait in anticipation as you meet your pilot and are briefed on the flight procedures. Then, you climb aboard and it’s up, up and away.

The silence of flight is punctuated only by the occasional blast of the powerful burners and breathtaking views of Caithkin Peak and Champagne Castle. The thrill is indescribable. With fantastic flying conditions you will fly over a picturesque Drakensberg mountain range.

Upon landing, you are met by the ground crew and enjoy a celebratory glass of champagne. You will return with a Land Rover to the launch site and then for a scrumptious breakfast and be awarded a certificate of your experience.
