Treat your love to a romantic horse ride with champagne picnic for two followed by a romantic overnight stay. This experience is perfect for a unique date night experience, perfect proposal idea, birthday or anniversary celebration, or just because…

Your romantic experience begins as you ride out with your sweetheart into a beautiful nature reserve, where wildlife is viewed on the ride. The horseback safari will arrive at a surprise picnic spot after 1 hour. We set up a lovely wooden table with non alcoholic sparkling wine, a snack platter, a box chocolates, plus a bunch of flowers. Enjoy your private picnic for approx 40 mins and then ride back to base. We offer a standard platter for picnics – e.g Biltong, Crackers, Cheeses, Dips, Fruit etc – You are welcome to bring any additional food/beverages with you in a backpack.

Once you are back at the stables, you can then take a slow drive (10kms) to Château la Mer, an exclusive upmarket, French inspired guesthouse, nestled in the quiet suburb of Ifafi in Hartbeespoort. This guesthouse is family owned and managed. They consistently exceed our service expectations and provide a five star service to our guests. Their rates include accommodation and breakfast.

Need to Know ~

• Horse Riding takes place in the Silkaatsnek Nature Reserve, on the R511, Hartbeespoort.
• Picnic items are subject to change without notice.
• Duration: 11 am till closing time 6 pm.
• Dress: Comfortable clothing. Preferable not white as we are in the bush. Preferable wear long stretchy pants and closed shoes.
• Fitness Level: No riding experience necessary
• Pack: Sunscreen, Camera, Love for horses, Welcome to bring the horses carrots or apples
• Available to book from Monday – Saturday Only.
• This package is for two adults and forms part of a group ride. This is not a private ride. A private ride can be arranged for an additional fee.
• Champagne picnic included.

• Dinner and beverages are not included.
• Maximum weight limit per rider is 95kgs

We’ve spent a lot of time and effort on tailoring this package to be a beautiful experience. However, we understand that one size does not fit all and are more than happy to make changes and suggestions to suit your needs and preferences. We do however charge an upfront fee of R1000 for additional quoting to cover increased overheads in doing so. This fee is fully deductible from your final invoice should you proceed with a booking but is otherwise non-refundable should you decide not to go ahead with our services.
