Looking for a great way to get your family away from the screen and into the fresh air and sunlight?  This family horseback safari and picnic for four is the perfect way to do just that.  Everyone who lives in South Africa, or visits the country, should experience it at least once!

This experience is suitable for families with children aged 13 years and older who can steer their own horse, as each child will ride their own horse. They must be able to steer and be confident to ride by themselves without being led.  A relaxing ride, this trail only includes walking the horses, not cantering nor trotting.

You will complete a 2 hour ride inside the nature reserve after which a lovely picnic will be set up and ready for you to enjoy on your return, at wooden benches close to our reception area.

The picnic boxes includes a variety of foods, such as Meatballs, Buffalo Wings, Croissants, Cheese puffs, samosas, mini vetkoek and a sweetbox : Cake, Caramel horns and koeksisters. Plus crisps and Grape or Appletizer.

Kindly note we do not sell or allow alcohol on the premises.

You are welcome to bring your own alcoholic drinks in backpacks. The ride goes out in a group but the picnics are private.

• Start Time: 08h30 or 11h00.
• Dress: Comfortable clothing. Preferable not white as we are in the bush.  Preferable wear long stretchy pants and closed shoes.
• Fitness Level: No riding experience needed.
• This package allows for a total of 4 guests.
• Pack: Sunscreen, Camera, Love for horses, welcome to bring the horses carrots or apples
• Teens aged 13 years and older can take part.  Please contact us directly for child rates and limitations.
• Your family will form part of a group ride.
• Available to book from Monday – Saturday & public holidays.
• Maximum weight limit per rider is 95kgs
