The Franschhoek Wine Tram offers eight lovely wine tour lines, which gives visitors the opportunity to visit a range of wine estates in the Franschhoek Valley. Added to your overnight stay at Le Petit Manoir, the wine tram offers a perfect romantic overnight getaway for date night, an anniversary or birthday, or just because.
Le Petit Manoir guest house is nestled in the Franschhoek Mountains. Retreat to your luxurious king suite, which features a private balcony with 180 degree views of the mountains, an extra-length king size bed with en-suite bathroom, Nespresso machine with complimentary hot beverages, a fireplace, Wi-Fi and a Smeg mini-bar. After breakfast in the Le Petit Manoir guesthouse restaurant, head to the Wine Tram ticket office in the Franschhoek Village, where you will board the tram or open-air tram-bus.
The tram follows a loop along a selection of wine estates on a set timetable, and you can disembark at any point to enjoy the wine tours, wine tastings, restaurants, picnics and other activities offered at each stop.
The eight tram lines include:
- Yellow and Red lines, which feature boules, whiskey tasting, private game drives, and MCC & Oyster pairing.
- Blue and Green lines, which feature kiddies pairing, wine and nougat pairing, vine-to-bottle tour, and olive and olive oil tasting.
- Pink and Grey lines, which offer lawn games, cellar tour and sabrage, high tea, and pinotage experience.
- Purple and Orange lines, which offer fudge pairing, slave museum, gardens, and herb and wine tasting.
