You’ll be able to choose whether to enjoy your wine-tasting before or after your picnic flight. Then it’s a stunning 17 minute flight departing from airy Meerendal and flying over vineyards and wheat fields towards Wellington.

Look out for Paarl Rock and beautiful estates from the air. Admire the iconic mountain views as you pass the entrance to the Franschoek valley and look across to Stellenbosch and the Helderberg en route. Then, just as you fear that the mountains will become too high, you turn and fly in to land in a beautiful secluded valley housing the award-winning Doolhof Wine Estate. You’ll be met like royalty and escorted to the restaurant to collect your picnic basket and rugs which will then be set up for you. Choose a sunny spot or a calm, quiet table beneath sighing pine trees.

The hearty gourmet picnic showcases the best of farm to table food and is so generous you’re quite likely to want to smuggle the leftovers home! TIME ALLOCATION

Allow at least 3 hours for your  experience. Actual flight is 35 minutes long with 90minutes stopover time at Doolhof and a further 60minutes allocated to your Meerendal wine tasting.
